To support young people discuss today, think about tomorrow and plan for the future
The booklet is to be used by young people as a journal. The booklet has been designed to creat discussion, thought and action and can be used in a variety of settings and situations. Young people can work through the book as fast or slow as the youth worker/mentor might want to pace it.
- The delivery can be flexible – in group settings or with individuals
- The language is simple and clear
- The book is set out in a logical way with a clear process for the young person to follow
- The book is well designed and attractive to youth
- The book creates ownership as the young person writes in it
- The book teaches and guides without being judgmental or dictatorial
- The book promotes critical thinking for responsible conduct

- The book links school with work, and health with self determination
- The skills gained by young people using the book include increased cognitive awareness, improved problem solving, goal-setting and decision-making skills.
- The lessons can be aligned to the curriculum
